The Happy Campers Project is our summer camp for students in ages 6-14. The classes are offered for two different age groups so their learning experience is more intimate and successful!

What is The Happy Campers Project?

2025 Visual Arts Classes
This year's theme was Passport to Imagination where students found inspiration from cultures throughout the ages! In Adventures in Art: Multimedia, students created two and three dimensional art using a variety of mediums, and students in Ceramics hand built their creations. Classes were be taught by Kelly Downes, Tiffany Johnkoski, and Carol Horst. Our wonderful volunteer assistants this year were Faun Walker, Ava Jones, Helen Towner, Lisa Bishop, Joshua Newth, Amanda Walker, and Rachel Pollock.

2025 Music Class
Keeping with the theme, Passport to Imagination, Strings with Steele was an adventure through music of the world. Students learned about the history and similarities of string instruments around the world. They developed and reinforced foundations of playing music by learning scales and songs on guitars. Students also built, decorated, and played their very own lyres!

2026 Happy Campers Information will be released at the Children’s Arts Festival on Friday, February 6th, 2026.
