The River Campus Art Gallery is part of the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts at the beautiful River Campus. The gallery exists as a way to provide community leadership in the presentation of relevant contemporary art. The Gallery seeks to promote creative experimentation, academic dialogue and the cultural enrichment of campus and local communities through exhibitions of emerging and established artists. The gallery is open Mondays - Fridays from 1:00 - 5:00 pm and on First Fridays from 1:00 - 7:00 pm.

The Crisp Museum is part of the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts at the beautiful River Campus. Itincludes both an art gallery and a museum of archeological and historical artifacts and exhibits. From May 19 - August 15 it is open Tuesday - Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, and during the school year from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

It is an intentionally curated vintage gallery space filled with more than just pretty things. It is a space where all who enter will hopefully feel an atmosphere of peace, hope, and joy. They leave knowing they've encountered a space investing into the unseen as well as the seen.

Cape Girardeau Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit
On Broadway

The Cape Girardeau Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit on Broadway is the first public art exhibition in Cape! It consists of seven substantial sculptures along Broadway St from Pacific to the historic downtown. The exhibit was organized by the Public Art Committee. This group consisted of two local artists and representatives from the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, Old Town Cape, Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Cape Girardeau. The Cape Girardeau Public Library often displays art exhibits in its Hirsch Community Room. Visitors to the library for the purpose of viewing the art exhibits are asked to please call the library beforehand for times when the room does not have meetings scheduled. Aside from art exhibits, they often support the arts with children & adult workshops that can be found listed here. Library Hours are Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm, Friday - Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.

They offer art workshops, demonstrations and featured artist receptions. There is always an opportunity to talk to and observe the artists at work, as well as purchase artwork.

Historic Downtown Ste. Genevieve

The historic district of downtown Ste. Genevieve is bustling with galleries and shops featuring artwork and artisan crafts. On the Fourth Friday of every month they open their doors for a big art walk! The Ste. Housed in the historic J. L. Dalton Home, the Margaret Harwell Art Museum is supported by the City of Poplar Bluff and the Friends of MHAM. The museum's mission is to challenge the expansion of aesthetic awareness, the appreciation of the visual arts and the involvement of the Poplar Bluff and surrounding communities in high quality art and educational experiences. The museum houses monthly rotating exhibits free of charge. Numerous educational opportunities are available for children & adults. Museum hours are Tuesday - Friday, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm and Saturday - Sunday, 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

Built as the Iron Mountain Railroad Train Depot in 1916, "The Depot" is now on the list of National Register of Historic Places. It became a museum and cultural center in 2000. Thousands of visitors have viewed dozens of permanent and rotating exhibits depicting the area's history and art, all at no charge. The Depot is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Given at least two-day notice, they will open for special tours groups during off hours.
