The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri hosted an opening reception for Art and Fear, a national juried exhibition in downtown Cape Girardeau, Missouri on June 1, from 5 - 9 p.m. Art and Fear encouraged artists to explore their own personal feelings about fear, anxiety, and phobias. Fear is a fluctuating entity, and can mean different things to different people. Stop by to see the exhibition people can't stop talking about!

To complement our Regional Juried Exhibition in the winter, the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri is proud to host a yearly National Juried Exhibition during the summer. Each year, a new theme is announced and the call for artists is made public before the first week of March.  

The National Juried Exhibition is on display for two months from June - July.
