Art for the Health of It 2014

Art for the Health of It provides a way to utilize art as a calming agent in a stress-laden environment, while demonstrating the heath and healing benefits of artistic images and expression. The exhibit will be displayed in the surgical waiting room corridor at Southeast Hospital from June 29 - August 28.

The Art for the Health of it exhibition is a juried show open to all artists 18 and older living within a 175 mile radius of Cape Girardeau. The artists for the 2014 exhibition have been selected and are listed below. For more information about this process, please download the 2014ArtForTheHealthOfItProspectus.

An opening reception will be held on Sunday, June 29, from 2 - 4:00 p.m. at Southeast Hospital. Awards will be presented at this reception, sponsored by the Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society Alliance, the Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society, and SoutheastHEALTH.

location

The Art for the Health of It exhibition will no longer be held outside of the Outpatient Surgical Corridor at Southeast Hospital. Instead, it will be much closer to the lobby and easier for the patients, employees, and visitors to see! When you walk into the lobby it will be in the corridor to the side of the steps leading to Lacey's on the Hill, between elevators A and C as illustrated in the image above.
